If we are still here in two years this could be a great call.
I'm sure that some people are selling out of splinterlands with all of the latest news and the fact that the team has publicly announced that it is facing an uncertain future.
I don't know about anybody else but i would rather bet on a team that has already weathered two bear markets and has a proven track record of building on Hive than chasing the next big thing in crypto.
It's hard to pick one project that can stand the test of time never mind strike gold twice. So while others are selling up and running for the hills I'm doubling down and picking up cards that have dropped down from their all time highs.
$145 on four maxed out cards.
But some great purchases.
Dark Ha'on is especially useful and this card was on the market for 50% cheaper than the next single version above it. That's what put me on a buying spree in the first place.
They will all come in useful and i want to increase my older cards as time goes on. I'll try to fill out the beta deck too but need them to drop a bit more in price to make it worthwhile.
Hopefully somebody panics over the winter and floods the market with the older ones.
There is still plenty left to play for in the rankings and I will take this opportunity to build my deck, move up the ranks and earn even better rewards going forwards.
I have my eye on a few more cards but don't have unlimited powder so want to make the right choices.
Then I bought four more for the Lols.
Another $83.....
I should stop but it's just too much fun.
Splinterlands is still the best web3 game out there, it just needs to get the priorities right now and survive the next few months.
Try for yourself.
If you haven't played the game before then now is the best time to join. Today is much better than tomorrow and a lot better than later.
